Season 4 of Last Blade Standing has been Officially Announced

It may seem like the latest season of Last Blade Standing just wrapped, but guess what? It’s time again to fire up the forges! After watching Colton Arias take home the season 3 victory following a dominating and exciting performance, Doc Martin and team are ready to crown a new champion in season 4.

Last week, the Last Blade Standing Facebook account officially announced the welcome return of this exciting competition.

What is Last Blade Standing?

Last Blade Standing is a grass roots bladesmithing competition made “by smiths, for smiths”. Originally intended to serve as “Forged in Fire for the rest of us”, the show has taken off, not only in popularity among bladesmiths, but in support from throughout the industry. Each season sees a group of bladesmiths ranging in experience and skill level competing to make a weapon to predetermined specifications. After several rounds of brutal testing, this bracket-style competition ends when a champion is crowned and only one blade is left standing.

More than just another competition

Probably the best thing about Last Blade Standing is it’s charitable impact over the years. Following each season, the blades are auctioned off with all proceeds going to a selected charity. Last season, proceeds from the blade auction went to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. What will be the charity for season 4? Stay tuned.
