I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite things to do is to explore the endless number of unique channels streaming free to my Smart TV. For those of you who have managed to avoid purchasing a Smart TV in the past few years, let me get you up to speed. All (or almost all?) new televisions come with a selection of free television content you can watch with only an internet connection. For the most part, these free channels consist of old, binge-worthy programming made available to them for the advertising revenue. If you look deep enough, you’ll find a steady stream of high quality content worthy of your viewing.

Recently while perusing my selection of channels, I discovered the program Hollywood Weapons: Fact or Fiction? and, being the fan of weapons content that I am, I was hooked.

What is Hollywood Weapons all about?

I’m telling you, if you are a fan of Forged in Fire, then this show is for you. Hollywood Weapons: Fact of Fiction? is a show that does exactly what you think, they test the weapons we see in movies. If you're an avid weapons aficionado or simply intrigued by the mechanics of weaponry, "Hollywood Weapons" offers an exhilarating ride that satisfies both your curiosity and entertainment cravings. Hosted by a team of experts who possess an unmatched passion for firearms, explosives, and bladed weapons, the show bridges the gap between Hollywood's glamorous portrayals of weaponry and the gritty reality of how these tools truly perform.

Unraveling the Myths

One of the show's most riveting aspects is its dedication to debunking Hollywood's wildest firearm myths. We've all witnessed action-packed scenes where protagonists miraculously escape a barrage of bullets or create improbable explosions with a single gunshot. "Hollywood Weapons" takes these iconic moments and subjects them to rigorous real-life tests, revealing the truth behind the smoke and mirrors.

Behind the scenes of every action sequence lies a meticulous understanding of physics, chemistry, and engineering. "Hollywood Weapons" delves into this captivating world, dissecting the intricate details that transform a blank firing into a fiery spectacle. By doing so, the show not only entertains but also educates, making it an invaluable resource for aspiring filmmakers, curious minds, and anyone seeking to demystify the mesmerizing art of pyrotechnics.

More than guns and bullets

Even though the show largely focuses on the gun related myths of Hollywood, they do explore the famous movies blades we all love. The “Hollywood Weapons” spends Episode 4 of Season 5 examining the iconic William Wallace claymore sword while they also build a trebuchet, a massive, wooden ranged weapon that just may come into play in Season 10 of Forged in Fire.
